No any person that has a negative opinion of another's race is a racist. Any person that stereotypes anothers race is a racist. Any person that cannot accept a person's opinion is an idiot. Every person is entitled to their own opinion as long as that opinion does not offend or hurt another they have the right to express their viewpoint.

Because it's the easiest defense for some people to use. Some people think that if someone has a different opinion than them, instead of taking the time to know why, its just easier to scream "racist". This goes for all parties. I have never, at least that I know of been labeled this, but then again, Ive always tried to come across fair here. Sure, I have other views and opinions than some but that's why we're all different, how boring would it be if we all thought the same??!!

No - not a requirement. Anyone who believes that there are inherent biological differences between their race and another, and those differences determine cultural or individual achievement, is a racist. Anyone who thinks they are superior to another human being simply based on the differences in race - is a racist. Anyone who blindly hates someone else for no other reason than they are a different race, is a racist.
It's not race specific at all. However, in the U.S., Caucasians are the majority - and, by far, most racism in U.S. history has come from Caucasians....not all - but most....and that particular brand of racism is the most dangerous because it is aimed at minorities from the majority.
Nonetheless, I do not believe that ANY racism is justified - no matter who it comes from or is aimed at.

Wow didn't you know that its written somewhere that only whites can be racist? After all if a black person hates others based on their race they will say "I'm black I cant be a racist" bullshit my best friend is black and she is very racist against Mexicans but uses that line. Mexicans I have found put down white people, yet anytime a white person makes a comment they are shot down and called racist. I think its more ignorance for anyone to dislike another based solely on the color of their skin or the country from which they come.

My response when somebody calls me a racist? "you're an idiot". I've only been called that a couple of times in my life, by obvious knuckleheads. The word "racist" is used when someone comes to the end of their arguement and can't think of anything else to say. It's like kids on the playground calling each other "homo". Or black guys slinging the "n-word" all over the place. Best thing to do is counterattack with another epithet. Don't make the fatal mistake of saying, "I am not either....whaaaa!"

I take exception to your assumption! I take issue with much of what is presented in this forum! How it is presented, and like you, negative wording that includes everyone living or a whole group, and no person on earth knows every person on earth or the group implied!
Do you know all Caucasians? or all members of any group?
Before you get started, I'm black, I say what I have to say, some might agree, more will not agree -so-----? That is their right, what they want to do, their feelings and like everybody else, including you, I am not GOD, so their feelings are valid, whether I, you, or anybody else agrees or not!
In all correctness, you should never lump/imply, "The All", when referencing people.

If a black man says a white man is lazy-and it is true, he is applauded for making a point.
Yet, if a white man says a black man is lazy- and it is true, he is a racist.
It's a double edged sword. If a white man says a black man is racist, everyone thinks he's crazy. He doesn't even understand what the word means, etc. We just can't win.

I am not a racist, nor do I hold any preconcienced ideas of prejudice of anyone for their ethnic heritage- that is not something a "person" can change about themselves. Their attitude and behavior is however. I work VERY hard to overcome those low standards and appreciate others that do as well.
Oh, the Dr. Phil show now has a "Dr. Phil House" and their is a black woman that is a serious racist.
When I was 25 years old- I was assigned to work a job through an agency. Because of my unique life experiences and outgoing personality and I was informed it was a difficult job because of the nature of the job and the dangerous urban location. I had been on the job for 3 months and 2 weeks, the longest anyone had stayed at the agency yet. It was about this time of year- holiday time.
I had weekly "sit downs" with the management and directors regarding my project and the enviroment of the workplace. It was an "Urban- redevelopment project for a deminished part of this city" filled with unsavory people and the poor (whom were our clients).
I have been the only white woman in the office and I was treated like crap by the staff and most of all director of the group whom was a minister as well. He was only nice ot me when the finance director "white" was their from the committee to leave checks and sign off on paperwork.
He came in on Thursday morning as the office was buzzing with at least 2 dozen black and hispanic people there recieving services and such. I had to ask a question of a co-worker, because I was new and needed a procedure clarified (once again being rudely talked to by this subordinate to me- which was allowed by the director) She actually said, I thought you were smarter than that....( I had never handled that assignment, since my speciality was something else). I said, that's not called for, can you help or not? NO (with an bad attitude) Fine, guess your aren't as smart as you thought for sure.
I walked to the center of the room and was so mad- Took a huge deep breath and shouted-
Hey everbody- I just wanted to point out, that I am the only white woman in this office for a reason- HOW am I supposed to learn, understand and accept a world that I do not know without your help and commitment to change the world one person at a time.
I am here because I was selected by your governing committee of directors and accepted this opportunity to grow in this related field of helping others that need our support, its about the people in my home town being healthier and happier. Most of the people here are taking great joy in being rude and hostile to me, so that it makes my job serving you harder.
By the way- IT works both ways- EEOC requires me to be here since you are charity organization. In case, you wondered why it took me so long to say something, I am a minister and I was loving my neighbor as God deems. SO from this point on, we will work in peace and understanding or your angry white woman is going to file a complaint against each one of you by name, for racist behavior in a work place. Any questions? NO- Good!
I kept talking as I was walking out- You guys can discuss this while I'm at lunch, see ya in a hour. Don't worry- I WILL BE BACK. I can play hard ball with the best of them I'm a Native Texan. I was named after my "MeMe" who was black- and raised me to be a good woman. I'm white-Irish only the second generation born in the states, so don't pull that "Slave crap" on me, the rest of my family was Irish servents "white slaves". We didn't even live in the USA during the civil war, my family was starving overseas.
Of course I was fired, yet one older woman, said" She thought I had balls." I did however make it hell for the director for the next few weeks.... I went to several of his HIGH profile events and stood in the front row and asked questions outloud with out being prompted. He threatened me, and I called him a hypocrite.
I did find a money leak and forwarded the "hard copies" to the committee the week before that epidsode and the charity was reorganized and most of those folks were getting rich off of helping "their people", whom were still poor and unhealthy.
It left a really bad taste in my mouth for a few years. I am blessed to have a multicultural group of friends and we love each other and work hard to accept each other.
sorry -too much for spell check.

It's certainly not a requirement. I've heard black people make disparaging comments about whites, asians and hispanics. I've heard Asians use the n-word. But it IS a requirement that Humans be racists. Animals don't care. They'll bite anyone.
