No to the above answer which describes an acute myocardial infarction not heart failure.
With left sided heart failure there is accumulation of fluid in the lungs and not enough forward flow to supply the body, the person will be easily fatigued. With progression to right heart failure the will be swelling in the legs neck veins and around the liver.

My mother died of heart failure in 1997 due to cardiomyopathy and I've researched it quite a bit.
The signs of heart failure are as follows:
shortness of breath all the time
coughing and inability to breathe normally
increased heart rate even after doing activities that should not increase your heart rate
tiredness with no real reason to be tired
fluid retention in excess (meaning that your whole body will become swollen)

heart failure, aka CHF, is a decrease in the ability of the heart to pump efficiently. There is not usually pain associated with this, but the symptoms are severe swelling in the legs, shortness of breath with mild exertion, and high blood pressures. All this happens because the heart is no longer pumping efficiently and the blood backs up in the lungs and in the extremeties, most often the legs due to gravity.
