Yes, you can. If they're putting a strain on your heart, then yes, you could die from heart failure (same goes with kidneys, liver and any other organ under strain).

The best source I found said:
"Not good. Over-the-counter diet pills are a temporary fix, and a poor one at that. They do not address the core of the problem by re-training eating habits and guiding one to adopt a lifelong commitment to sustainable healthy eating and exercise.

In addition, diet pills can be extremely dangerous to your health. They commonly have stimulant ingredients such as caffeine and amphetamine-like substances that can cause increased restlessness, insomnia, anxiety, hypertension and even irregular heartbeats known as cardiac arrhythmias. The ingredient ephedrine, which was once a common ingredient in diet pills, has been linked with several deaths and was recently banned by the FDA. Years ago people thought that fen-phen was the miracle pill answer to weight loss - that is, until they discovered that it caused damage to the heart. Don't look for quick-fix answers in a pill. Be aware that even diet pills that are marketed as being herbal and all natural can still be dangerous.

For most people, the risks of utilizing diet pills outweigh the risks associated with being overweight. To experience optimal health and reap the full benefits of weight loss, ditch the diet pills and proceed with a sound program of good nutrition, intuitive eating and daily exercise."

If you're too concerned, don't take them. Diet pills are more a fad than a solution. Portion control, healthy eating and lifestyle, and exercise are what you need most. Also, I've seen the NV commercials and watched a scam on another diet pill. The people you see in the infomercial and commercials are often actors and people who have never tried the product at all. Just be careful. You can always, and should, seek advice from your doctor or nutritionist. Best of luck!

Well, I take that diet pill and I'm not noticing a difference. But no I don't think you will die as long as you take the pill the way the manufactures intended to be taken. Just remember that the easiest way to loss weight is to stay active and eat good. But if you do like them and decide to take them for a while you may what to consult you doctor first, just to be safe and make sure you healthy enough to begin with.

look, were all dying. Being born is an instant death sentance. Living is a cancerous condition. But until then, the human soul is an incredibly resiliant form of life, Any one person can die, but the rest fights to live withough really realizing it. The best thing you can do is give your doctor all your imformation and he can tell you if certain pills can be harmful.
Unless you have documented health problems, I'd put a little more faith in the flesh.

Does it contain ephedra. IF you take ephedra (any kind of it) there are slim chances that you could internally promote a heart attack. So BE CAREFUL. Do not take more than the bottle recommends.

well? if you have a weak heart, completely avoid these pills. you are an individual and each induvidual is unique, so speak to your doctor. most probably, though, they are safe for you if your heart is in fine shape.
