I'm not sure, but they're just judgemental. You can't take people like that to heart, because they'll say anything that comes to thier little heads!
The resources are there for moms in need to use them... so why not use them if you need it? I'm on your side happy mommy!

Basically it's just that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and their reasons for that may all be different so there is probably no general answer to that.
I don't believe in abortion either - BUT - I do believe it's the woman’s own choice to do so - or not. I also believe that in this world of information and everyone knowing what to do to keep that from happening...it's irresponsible (most of the time - not all of the time - but most of the time they end up pregnant out of wedlock because they and their partner were irresponsible) so I suppose tax-payers are getting tired of footing the bill for others being irresponsible. I suppose those that feel the same about both - the answer to your question would be (in general) that the life of a child comes first - but it still doesn't mean those that work hard every day (sometimes working two jobs) to pay for their own children's necessities...have to foot the bill for someone who was simply irresponsible then says, "I had this baby out of wedlock and now I can't afford to take care of it".
There are isolated incidents and cases were the woman most certainly deserve the help - but I'd still support WIC and agencies such as it because I don't feel it's the children's fault - and it's important that they get the nutrition they need. But I do feel ultimately everyone needs to be responsible for their own.
I also believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion - think it should only be given when asked for though. I think everyone deserves to make their own decisions without being judged...and everyone needs to be responsible for the consequences of their own decisions.
Bottom line though - all children need to be cared for - if their parents won't or can't do it - then as a society we do need to care for those children.
Just my 2cents.

Unfortunately my dear some people are very hypocritical it is just the coming of the ages and people not having respect for one another. It is a shame that it is that way, but that is why I am raising my children not to be like that.. The other reason is that yes indeed alot of women are against abortion I am one of those women, and the reason of this is because of the fact in most all cases the women choose to lay down and in return took that risk of getting pregnant.. so there for she should be responsible for her actions.. I am not against adoption though, because there are plenty of families out there who are financially and emotionally able to handle a child but are unable to have that child.. so in return if you are unable to sustain the child then pass it on to someone whom can.. However as far as getting government assistance the reason so many people look down upon those whom do get it is because that more than likely at some point they needed and were unable to get it for some reason or another.. or because there are unfortunately alot of women out there whom just have kids so that they can get that goverment money and free ride and there for it makes all women look mad.. just as back when we were younger sometimes our parents would say "don't be around those people, because they are no good" and if they get in trouble you will too just because of the quilt by association. basically they blacklist the ones who get help because of the ones who do abuse the system and aren't even trying to raise their kids they just want the free ride.. Does this help you out at all.?? I hope it does. God Bless and take care.

I'm not against WIC or any other program that helps women and children. What I do have a problem with is women that already have children that they can't feed and then continue to have more children that they can't feed who then have children that they can't or won't feed.....You then get several generations of welfare recipients that don't understand that going to work everyday is how you should be supporting your family. Welfare was never intended to be a lifelong handout but was designed to be a helping hand to those who need. it. I, myself have recieved welfare when I was much younger with a small baby. but only for a short time and not since 25 years ago! I work and pay taxes so other people can recieve a hand out. I'd rather be giving a hand up.

IM A WOMAN IM AGAINST ABORTION. i believe that government programs are there to help low income families have healthier children. The way i see it we paid in all that money during the time that we were working, its time that we got some of it back when our families need help. Not everyone makes 200000 a year. my family may not be the richest but we are happy and healthy and im greatful that these programs are there to help me out when i need it.
The WIC program provides some food and formula to low income families,
Food stamps help them buy food'
welfare helps them pay thier bills
and medicare helps them pay medical expenses.
I dont like it when i see people abusing the system and taking resources away from people who really need it.
Hope that makes it clear enough for you. Why would a woman murder her child simply because they are low income and need help?

I am against abortion because it is taking a life.....I believe if you think you are old enough to have sex you are old enough to know about protection and to use it besides the fact that you should be married......
Use of government programs should be for those that need it and not for those that abuse it but that's life. In this world there will always be people who will scam others for whatever they can get from them no matter how much it hurts other ones.

I am against abortion, but not against goverment programs. I think the programs are in place for a reason to help out families that need the help. But there is a problem with the programs in place, there are people who abuse it. Not necessary the WIC program, but welfare, it is supposed to help you get back on your feet, but there are families who stay on it for years and don't try to do better. I know there are honest hard working people in those programs and they need the help that is fine and dandy with me, but the people who abuse the system not only make the rest look bad, but hurt the people that need it and can't get any help because there are people who are abusing the system that are being taken care of and then there is no room for the ones who really need it.

I agree with you. It's impossible to have it both ways. I'm guessing that the people who are against abortion and women receiving government aid would rather the child be given up for adoption to a wealthier family. Since women are the one's who end up pregnant and many times the father gets to skip away, I think those same people who are against abortion ought to do everything they can to truly educate men and women about birth control, and if a woman ends up pregnant anyway, they should assist her in any way that they can. That's more positive than protesting and showing disgusting pictures.

I don't believe in abortion. Never have, never will. As for WIC and other programs like that, I have used them, and it's a good thing if you truly need help. There are some people who have five or six kids just to get medicaid and food stamps and all that. If you need it, that's what it's there for. if you're just using it to be using it, you should be beaten over the head with a brick stick.

I am against abortions, but for assistance. I think that if you decide to keep your baby you are making a great decision and some people need help. That is very understandable and people who think that you wont be able to take care of your baby because you are getting assistance are full of it! I dont agree with people abusing it who dont need it though. However, if you need it and you get it you are doing the right thing to take care of your baby.

Abortion is a choice, having a child you can not afford is also a choice and you should take the responsibility. I am a little tired of paying for all of these services, that when I was a single parent, I chose to work and support my own.
