I would check with a Chiropractor. Have you had this pain very long? You may have pulled a muscle or injured something.
The misconception about Chiropractors having you come in 3 times a week for years is just plain ignorance. If you have had a pain for a long time, your muscles are "set". Going for chiropractic treatments just a few times will allow the muscles to go "back". First you have regular adjustment 2 to 3 times a week for one (1) month; then you go to once a week for about a month, then once a month. Chiropractic usually takes about 3 months to align the muscles properly. Then you will be on maintenance about once every 6 months. Regular check ups are good, especially if you do physical labor or sports, as you can get out of alignment if you fall or are injured. I would go to a chiropractor with an open mind and just ask what a treatment plan would be. A good Chiropractor will not suggest 3 times a week for life, as some people think. If you have had the pain for a while, you will need to "re-train" those muscles.
I have had lower back pain for years, when I went to a chiropractor my pain disappeared in three weeks, with treatments 2 to 3 times a week. Now I have regular maintenance, and have no back pain.

That sound much like the coxic bone, it well may be injured, perhaps even from the bilke ride, or has someone pulled a chair form under you ? See your Physican, or your Chiropractor. Before you go either Yahoo or Google search will give you a broader perspective, and take something for the pain, Tylenol or Advil, or whatever you use for pain relief, best of luck

Did you fall and hurt your tailbone? That is the very bottom of your spine around the area you describe. That would explain the pain.
The other thing is you may have cyst in your tailbone. If the pain increases and you find it harder to walk or sit that could be what is happening. Sometimes a simple ingrown hair can cause it.
So think if you may have fallen hard on your butt recently or if someone kicked you or something...otherwise see if you can feel the area and feel if there is a lump or really tender spot and if you think it's a cyst get it looked at fast as it will likely just get bigger and hurt more. You don't want it to break either as it will spread infection everywhere.

If you do end up going to a doctor of Chiropractic, make sure he has specific things for you to do at home.. will reduce your need of treatment and is also a preventative of the condition returning. No one knows hjow many treatments it is going to take, so setting up a program is not the DC you want. You sound pretty young so, the response is generally very rapid..

I had the same thing for about 6 months and I got some free advice from a doctor I know. He told me to stretch out a lot for a couple of days and if the problem continues to see him or another professional.

You should go to a chiroprator and get an adjustment.
A little advice about chiropractors though is that they tend
to want to put you on a program and keep you coming
back. Go ahead and have a few adjustments and then
stop going.
