It is the food.
It must have alot of fillers in it. If it did not they would not be going so much. It shows that their bodies are not using most of the food if they are just pooping it out.
My 100 pound doberman ate only 4 cups of food per day and was not overweight. He only went once per day. And it looked like a much smaller dog had left the pile.
Feed something without corn in it . Corn is a cheap filler and not needed in a dogs diet.
Look at food like
Solid Gold
Merrick
Innova
California Natural
Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul
Wellness
These are all very high wuality dog foods.

When did chicory, carrots, peas, apples and cranberry become dog food ingredients? There isn't much real difference between these foods. One uses chicken and turkey, the other only uses chicken. Neither uses corn or wheat. The biggest difference is the fruits and vegetables in the chicken soup brand. Both are made by the same company and its a good bet that the major ingredients come from the same sources. Unless there is an allergy problem your dog will be fine with either food. Feed whichever one is easier to get. The prices are close enough to the same, especially considering how little one pomeranian will eat. If you were feeding a working dog you might notice a difference between those foods but not with a normal family pet.

There are a lot of dog foods out there with filler in them. The filler will just go straight on thru your dog. Unfortunately, better food also costs quite a bit more, it all depends on what you can financially handle. Try for a dog food that does not contain any "animal" by-products (this just means they don't know what kind of animal it came from). Corn is not digestible for dogs - just passes through. A meat as the first ingredient is best. There are some that put in veggies - which is OK, not really key though. Beet pulp is a filler. Wheat is also filler and not well digested by dogs. Sugar is an absolute no- no. There are some that have sugar in it believe it or not. There are some vet authored sites on the net that rate dog foods if you want to check those out as well.
Scritches to your fur kids!

YES it is their food.
All Commercial dog food is crap. Just some is crappier than others, so why would you be surprised when it comes out as often and in the same volume as it goes in?
Switch to RAW food diet and your dogs will be much much healthier and happier.
It is less convenient but more cost effective. As a plus my 150 lb. Bully craps less than my mothers 15 lb west highland white terrier. I don't have to clean his teeth or breath and he will not get any kind of periodontal disease (leading cause of discomfort and other disease in dogs) Another plus is that he would eat about 3.5-5% of his weight in commercial dog food per day.( I keep him very active with protection training) With raw food he eats only 1.5%, which is not only good for my budget, but, studies show that mammals that take in less waste calories, live a longer life.

some dogs do go twice a day or more like one of my dogs, but chances are that if you switch their food to something that a pet store recomends that they will poop less. The average grocery store brand will produce 70 to 80 pounds of poop for every 100 pounds of food fed and you can find quality foods that will only produce 30 - 40 pounds of poop for every 100 pounds of food fed. Good luck

I have two labs and one of them has what we nicely call...faucet butt. If she eats the wrong thing it is just bad for everyone. Anyway we the vet put her on Science Diet I/D and all went well. It is made with minimal by-product so less waste by the animal. A general rule of thumb for dog food is the cheaper the food the more waste your dog will create.

Anything by Science Diet, Iams or Eukanuba is great for that! Preferably Eukanuba - it is the best one on the market. It only takes a small amout of food twice a day to supply them with the nutrients and vitamins that they need and it produces less stool! Good Luck

well, you can look into the BARF diet (raw foods) and their poo will be smaller, ashy and much less stinky.
Or find a dog food that does NOT contain corn. Good luck. Corn is useless but it's cheap so most dog foods contain corn as one of the first three or four ingredients. Often first. Corn doesn't digest so it's got to come back out.

It's the food, some brands have a lot of 'fillers' no nutritional value so they just pass through the dogs system. we feed our dogs buckeye 30% protein and take them out regularly-with the 30% protein less food is needed so less poop is produced.(if your dogs are fully grown feeding once a day is sufficient)
When changing food work them into it slowly-begin to mix it with their regular food, until it's totally changed over this will prevent stomach upsets.

You may want to check into a low residue food. Science diet makes one. The main reason is the food is not being digested fully. This is a sign of lots of fillers with no nutritutional value. Find a better food.
