I have a Sony Digital camera and it wasn't working and I soon realized there is a wire stuck in it. It's sticking out between the two rings that focus the picture. The camera's less than a year old, and I don't just want to go get a new one if the problem is fixable. Help?

Thanks.

That sounds like a defect in the camera. Is it still under warranty? Take it back to the store where you bought it, and show them the problem. If it's still under warranty, you could have them send it back for free repair or replacement. If the warranty's expired, they might be able to give you a repair estimate.

Usually people who repair cameras just do the old mechanical ones. For the new electronic cameras, it would need to be sent back to the company that made it. They would be the only ones I'd trust to repair it.
