I practice in my living room mostly, but other times I'll go out to a clearing in the woods near my home and train there because it's quieter and there's more room quite frankly.

but also I can train with better focus so it's a little more fun, and I can listen to nature when I'm chuggin' on my water.

There's not much difference between TKD and Tang Soo Do, especially in the sense of the techniques and slight variations in the forms.

Tang Soo Do comes from the primarily southern region of Korea, and it mostly sticks with the traditional techniques set down by the Grand Master Hwang Kee, but very little if any at all.

Whereas Tae Kwon Do often deviates (especially when the different organizations are involved) from the Founder's original ideals.

In my apartment when I am not in the Dojang. Now to tang Soo do. When most of the Kwans in Korea Unified under the Taekwondo manner Mu Do kwan Tang Soo Do was split on the Decison. The founder of Mu Do kwan Tang Soo DO wanted to stay a seperate entity but some of the senior students wanted to go under the Taekwondo name. So thats why now you have Mu Do kwan Tang Soo Do and Mu Do kwan Taekwondo. They are basicly Identical expect for the forms.

I train in several do jangs. Mine, my instructor's & a 3rd place where I also teach. I rarely get the chance to train outdoors, but I agree with you it is great when you can.

Very little. Most of the kwans (schools) founded in the 40's adopted the name Tae Kwon Do in the 60's. A few, such as Mu Do Kwan, chose to keep the name Tang Soo Do. There is greater variation within TKD than there is between TKD & TSD.

Outside, in my front yard...usually in the wee small hours of the morning....just after midnight....prefer the quiet and the temperature at that time..expecially in winter.

As for the idfference in Tang soo do and Taekwando...Both are Korean styles but with idfferent histories.

Taekwando goes back to the earlies days of the Korean dynasties, specifically the Silla dynasty.

Tang soo is a Koreanized version of Japanese Karate and and that the Moo Duk Kwan oraiginated as a combinatin of three major styles; Tai chi Chuan, Northern and soputhern Chinese Kung fu, And OKinawan/Japanese karate and its modified forms by master Hwang Kee.

Usually my dojo...but if i really feel to do it outside i wll do. Tae = kick, kwan = punch, do = way or art.....tang soo do, and taekwondo are very similar the difference between them are not so great their both Korean.....it is said that it was a the black belt general in 1957 (Choi Hong Hi) who decided to change the name of tang soo do to taekwondo.

When I am not in class I practice outside to get fresh air to help with the breathing for my techniques, that way I can Ki hap as loud as I want which helps with the power of the technique.
I currently take Songahm TKD in Middletown, De

As far as TKD v.s. TSD, TKD is more "americanized" They both have a Korean background, The "forms" are slightly different, as well as some of the techniques.
