why militray uses its power for distorying the modesty of women?

I m talking about a war times when soilders use there power and Rape innocent women just only for distroying the modesty of women or for religion does it declars that military is only using the power ?

In the past invading armies have had official policies of raping women. I would like to say those times have passed, but it is occurring hundreds of times a day in the many African countries that are at war or experiencing tribal conflict.

But it rarely has to do with destroying the modesty of a woman. rape is universally an expression of hate or of power. Although it involves sexual contact it is not a sexual act.

In mediavel times women along with valuables like money, jewellery etc. were considered to be the booty of any war victory. After long drawn fierce campaigns in distant lands raping women was legitimately considered a part of the victory celebrations as also to satisfy sadistic pleasures. Young and beautiful women were also forcibly taken away by the invaders to become concubines or to be sold as slaves.
But with civilisation such acts lost their legitimacy. Some countries even provide sex workers for their soldiers serving in war fronts. Yet soldiers continue to rape and molest women as of yore although such instances are remarkably lower now.
One reason is that soldiers being away from their own womenfolk for months or years find a release for their pent up sex through rape. This isn't excusable by any standards though.
Another reason is that women are soft targets and offer the least resistance. So they can be had at gun point.
Although this is a punishable offence, the standard practice is to hush up the incident by the army. However if there is a furore as we have seen in Manipur after soldiers from the Assam Rifles raped a woman there, investigations are opened and the guilty punished.

Not real sure who your question is directed at but I'm a soldier in the United States Army. I've been deployed twice. Once to Iraq and am currently in Afghanistan. I can garentee you that the Afghan and Iraqi women are safer from rape by US military than American women are on college campuses and at the mall. The media makes is seem a lot worse. Meaning which would make better headlines. "Another girl gets drunk and raped at a Frat party" or "US soldier serving his country overseas rapes local woman"?

2) If you are talking about American women, I sure havn't seen much modesty in this day and age.

A very good remark u have made.This is true and pathetic.A soldier must fight for the nation but not with the innocent women that too in a wrong way.This is really shame ful to all those people.They r no more doing any service to the country infact degrading its' name.

We have made war too nice. We need to allow rape, pillage and total destruction of our enemies. For example, if the USA had gone into Iraq like Genghis Khan, the troops could have been home 3 months after it started.
