Okay - 3.5 ozs of meat is equal to 100 grams so 500 grams is 17.5 grams.

So.. in 100 grams of chicken breast boiled (assuming no skin) is
29 to 31 protien, 0 carbs, no fat, 3 fat and 151-165 calories

All this times 5 is 155 protien, 18 fat and 825 calories. Then carbs and protien are multiplied by 4 (caloric value) or something whereas fats is times 9

So if you were on a 2000 a day calorie diet and were looking for 40% protein and 40% carbs and 20% fat/sugars - then take the sum of your protien intake - multiplied by 4 divided by 2000 (or total caloric intake) and *100 for the percentage.

So just that chicken breast *5 serving day would be 75% protein, 0 carb and 20% fats. Moral of the story - eat your veggies too. :)

I have all this on Excel spreadsheet so I can figure this stuff out. Hope this helps.

There are no guide-lines out there that include the bones, but boneless, skinless chicken breast meat has about 110kcal for every 100g of actual meat, regardless of how it's cooked (but of course, *frying* the meat would add some calories from fat...) In your case, you should estimate the weight of those delicate bones and the small amount of cartilage...my guess is about 5-6% of the total weight. Is this helpful info? Best regards!

Bones, no bones? Skin, no skin. Your average chicken breast has about 30-45 gr. of protein. I guess that would be from a 300 gr. breast. I am just guessing, but I am pretty sure I am about correct.
