The best chocolate frosting EVER is this one. It doesn't get hard in the fridge like buttercream and it doesn't get runny like whipped cream.
WHIPPED CHOCOLATE FROSTING
8 bars (8-oz. pkg.) Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, broken into pieces
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. In medium microwave-safe bowl, place chocolate pieces and whipping cream. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1-1/2 to 2 minutes, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred; refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
2. In large bowl, beat powdered sugar, butter and vanilla until thoroughly blended. Gradually add chocolate mixture, beating until stiff; use immediately. Cover; keep refrigerated. About 3-1/2 cups frosting.

You can take powdered sugar and add water to it to make frosting. It will take alot depending on how much frosting you need and you can also add food coloring if you desire a different color frosting. Good Luck!!

frosting doesn't have eggs and shortening. Frosting is butter and powdered sugar. Do you mean cake?

You can add butter to the powdered sugar and milk. It tastes better. You can also add food coloring for different colors.
