it will make it difficult for them to lay eggs, but the best way to get rid of them is to comb them out every couple of days. Dont recommend giving a grade one to a girl with nits like they did to some poor kid at my daughters school, everyone just took the piss out of her

No it wont help them to go. The best way to get rid of them is wet hair and a nit comb. Every day (that is EVERY day til they are gone) spray hair with water and then comb each section through. The nit comb will catch any nits - wipe them off with damp cotton wool. Do the same the next day. If hair is long, thick, curly or difficult to comb, then wet hair and put conditioner - any kind - in it and follow the procedure.
To prevent future nits, always nit comb hair when washing it, when you have used shampoo, rinsed and have the conditioner in.
Nits like clean hair unfortunately.

I am a nursery nurse and have worked with young children for several years. Cutting your child's hair to a grade one may rid some live lice and make the nit eggs easier to detect, but I'm afraid not rid them totally. You need to treat the hair with a lotion, then comb and comb till there are none left! To keep on top of head lice and nits, you will need to comb ( with a nit comb) daily if possible. the easiest way is while your child has conditioner in their hair.... it doesn't hurt!! I hope that helps!!

Yes it will, they don't like the light. They say that's why boys get them less than girls.
But there's other things you can do before you get rid of all your hair! I got them from my niece and what a hassle it was to sort it out. Mind you, I have a lot of hair.
What you can do is buy one of those special comes and use it everyday for about 2 weeks (to be sure there's no lice left, their cycle is about a week). You could, as well, every few days apply any refined oil to your hair, and keep on combing till you drop.... actually, if you don't have much hair to lose, just cut it grade one.

buy some rid or nixs and shampoo your hair with it then use the comb that comes with it. start at the nape of the neck and move foward and comb them out. make sure u treat others in the house hold and pillows and sheets to keep from re infestation. to keep them away use a light oil sheen not a lot spray thru out the hair. Thats what i tell my clients.

it dose help if your hair is short because the shorter the hair the less the little buggers will have to hang on to. the best thing to treat them is tea tree shampoo or simply use baby oil as this will make your hair too slippery for them to hold on. They are also attracted to clean hair so a cheep option would be not to wash your hair for a while!!!!!

WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?
To get rid set something from your chemist. Nits are less likely to go on dyed hair.

I don't understand your question. Knits are lice eggs and you get rid of them by using a product to kill lice, go to your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist to recomend a treatment. Do this immediatly. Head Lice is very contagious. Don't share your comb, brush or hats with anyone.
