I only thought about this recently, if I were a 'terrorist' in Iraq, I would want the foriegn troops out, these foriegn troops would move out pretty fast if there was no more hassle, wouldnt they? It must be a costly exercise keeping them there? Both financially and politically!
Why dont the 'terrorists' lay off until the foriegn troops are satisfied and go home, then when the coast is clear, go back into buisness and do whatever???
Yes I am aware the troops would return eventually but look at the cost?? Politically and financially!
Or have I over simplified the issue??
Why are foriegn troops still in reland, isnt that similar????

To die for God is what they want. If someone could just prove, without a doubt that there is no God, no one would want to die, and the world would come together in harmony to try to make life more meaningful and long lasting. Understand what I am saying? You will probably all disagree with me, but without God, the chance of world peace is so much closer.

The problem isn't that all the terrorists are working together to get the US out. There are many different groups which all want power. They are all fighting against the US and each other. This is added with the fact that the terrorists also like killing US troops. Many of the groups want to get ride of the US troops, the current Iraq government, and the other groups that want power. So really, the more chaos there is, the best chance they have of completing their agenda.

This war has gone beyond terrorist and there wants. The real foe now is the sectarian tribes and religious groups that now want to settle old scores and drive out all none like people and if possible expand there territory. what we do is irrelevant we are just in the way. Until these groups settle this on the battlefield there will be no government in reality to govern the country which I think will break up into at least 3 major parts. Best thing to do us leave and let them have at it. The best we could do is contain the fighting to prevent it from spreading to other neighboring countries.

If the US and foreign troops left Iraq terrorists wouldn't be able to try and kill them. Originally there were very few terrorists in Iraq. Today terrorists are streaming into Iraq for a chance to fight the infidels! The recent Congressional Commission Report on the Iraq war said that we are only creating more terrorists by staying in Iraq. It also said we can't leave.

Well, our government and all the American people should have thought out the situation before they declared war and invaded Iraq. I mean, it was a forgone conclusion that the Iraqi people would not well tolerate being invaded and we should have learned a big lesson from Vietnam/

What was the Bush cabinet thinking? I seems they shoot from the hip and did not think things through clearly.

It is for sure that the minute we leave Iraq things will go right back to the way they were and maybe another dictator will surface.
