heartspeaker=yes i know what a sh'ol is. i am a jew+an israeli and i know how to read+speak fluently. +sh'ol doesn't mean hell..it means bad karma. jews believe in karma but they dont believe in monsters underneath the ground. they think that when the massiah will come, those that raped, killed..etc will have their souls burnt and vanish..i don't really believe in that but..ya you get the point.

Imagine all the hell and brimstone believers get reincarnated as pigs in the time of Jesus, then Jesus drives demons into them and makes them run off a cliff LMAO!!! All the beliefs are valid yet all of them are equally invalid and most of them are pretty absurd.

Not commenting on the those who do "x action" or have "Y belief" in the ABCS of who goes to a heavenly place or a hellish one, but here's some food for thought.

Your disbelief in an afterlife does not determine whether or not there is an afterlife or not, i.e., if there is such a thing as an immortal soul within a human being, an atheist's soul doesn't simply vanish because of what he/she believed before they died.

If there is an afterlife and our choices here affect destinations in that afterlife, then do you think that your choices or lack of choices might affect that? For example, would you think that Hitler or bin Laden would have the same destination as you, given that you are presumably not evil in the way that mass killers or leaders of killers are?

So what is their destination to be called? In Hebrew it is called Sheol, which is transliterated into English as "Hell".

And as to respect, earn it. Respect your Christian and other friends beliefs and values as well, rather than rejecting the possibilities out of hand.

True, being different doesn't make you any more evil or any less good than anyone else. That's kind of the problem from a Christian, perspective, however -- we all have sin that we need forgiveness for if we are going to make it into Heaven.

BTW, you may not believe in Cuba either, but if your plane is forced to land there, then you are still in Cuba even if you do not believe that it exists. It is irrelevant what your personal belief is if you actually wind up there.

What if you were dying of a rare disease, and I knew of a cure. I would be pretty cruel to keep that knowledge to myself, wouldn't I?

What if I gave you the cure but you refused it because you didn't believe you were sick?

The same is true of Christianity. Christians are commanded to share the Good News of the Gospel with everyone. What you do with that knowledge is up to you.

I can say that I don't believe in trains; but if I stand on the train tracks long enough, reality is going to hit me full force. If you know the train is coming and yell at me to get off the tracks, should I resent you for that?

I submit to you that Christians try to tell you about Jesus out of love and concern. If you feel we have been disrespectful; perhaps we were not giving you the correct message.

I have taken the time to respond to your question out of respect for you. Please do me a huge favor and take the Good Person Test at http://www.goodpersontest.com/
What you do after that is up to you, but please don't be mad at me for telling you the truth.

If two people jump off a roof, one a believer in gravity and the other a nonbeliever, which one will fall faster? Reality doesn't have to be believed or accepted. It affects each of us the same way.

Heaven is the carrot and hell is the stick, that has kept the collection plates filled for over 2000 years. We all fear the unknown- it cannot be proved either way what could be more perfect?

So why are you sick and tired of the comments about Hell if you don't believe in it? Maybe you should stop asking people if they think you are going to hell if you don't believe in it.
Besides, whether you believe it or not, it doesn't change it. Is Hell a fiery furnance - it is considered eternal separation from God - from any good - and denying the truth doesn't change it.

it would no doubt be fruitless to try and discuss the subject of hell with you if you do not believe in christ and his teaching on hell. it seems you ask not to truly wanting to know the truth but to justify your self and your position. hell is real as is heaven and just as this earth is. ignorance is not bliss when it comes to salvation and eternity. i'm not trying to be ugly. think on this :Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

How sad, I truly feel sorry for you. Read "23 minutes in Hell" by Bill Weise. Look up his website and see what he and others have experienced. The Bible talks plenty of it, obviously it is an important subject to God and he doesn't wish anyone to go there.
