It's not true that you're "supposed to." And it's a really bad idea, as it causes all kinds of itching and bumps. It's a fad that is very rapidly going out of fashion. The hair is there to protect your sensitive parts, and it's dumb to shave it off.

I don't think it's necessary unless you like to look like a grown-up little girl again. The only time shaving pubic hair is considered a necessity, is when a woman gives birth, or undergoes some kind of surgical procedure in that area. Shaving causes stubble, irritation and ingrown hairs. And no one ever sees the result except you and your significant other.

Incidentally, the vagina has nothing to do with pubic hair. The proper term is vulva.

its true for some it false for others. its really up to you if you wanna shave your vagina. some are comfortable of having their pubic shaved for so many reason like, it will make them feel sexy, clean, and comfortable when they wear underwear or joining pageants or shoots. some would prefer not to cos they love the way it is. there is no harm in trying and it depends on your reason if you feel that you wanna shave then go ahead and compare.

Apparently it's there for some bacterial protection or something. Personally, I find it uncomfortable and trim it to keep it nice and short. Besides, shaving hurts. You'd have to use a lot of cream or else you get horrible razor burn. Not so comfy!

Not true that is up to you to decide. Some women do this most don't or just trim around the "bikini line" You can also use hair removal creams that don't leave behind razor burn.

It is your choice.

no you dont. if you want to its cool. but its not a must. its jus like shaving your armpits, we dont have to but we do it anyway. shaving pubic hair will be a good idea for wearing bathing suits. you dont want your hairs poking out.

"supposed to?" It's your pubic hair, you can do whatever you want to with it.
Some of us men (me included) don't like women who shave -- what's the deal, do you want to look like a little girl? Grown women have hair, and that's how it should be :)

A lot of women do, but you don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with!! Most women do when they're older. Of course, I'm hardly a teenager, so I don't. It's a personal choice.
