I have and no it didn't look that bad because I didn't put any crap in it or blowdry it every day. I did color it though. And I sometimes used Pantene, that helped because it seals the split ends temporarily. I think it needed about a half inch cut off.

Guilty as charged.
The last time I had a haircut was in March 2005. As you can imagine, my hair is in a dreadful state.
Split ends, frizzled with sun damage, my hair was set on fire by accident once, during a power cut, while reading a book with the help of a candle. (I took care of it, so it's not too bad now.)
why would I neglect my hair so badly? I have a good reason. I am a volunteer in an African country. When I eventually go home, I suspect I will have a sleek short bob.
It's strange not going to the hairdresser. You could argue that I go and have a pudding bowl haircut, but please!

I don't think I have had my hair cut for three years.
It's now about a yard long. I don't have any split ends, because I don't snap the brush through the ends, and I'm quite gentle with my hair in general. I don't wear it loose, either; it stays tied up in various styles.
I expect if I ever want to wear it down a trim would make it appear neater, but I wouldn't need more than an inch cut.

I've done that. But I don't blow dry my hair and I don't use hairspray or gel either. The only that I did a couple times was color it. No, I didn't end up getting alot cut off, when I did go to get it cut I just had them trim the ends to take care of the split ends.

I think the last time I got my hair cut was when i was 13....... I'm 22 now. My hair looks terrible, (all broken and damaged at the ends)..... but I'm sooo scared to cut it off because this is the longest my hair has ever been.

Yeah but it didn't really grow that long, I was only about 8 at the time. It was about down to my chest. It was in good condition though it didn't have any split ends and it wasn't greasy or dry. For teens and above though I would say you should get your hair trimmed about every 2 months.

No i do it all the time, it sounds bad, but my hair grows no matter what. If i cut it then it grows the same as if i were to leave it alone. It doesnt get damaged and i dont have to cut it off or anything.

particular you are able to enhance your hair with out trimming it . in simple terms use a shampoo & conditioner that help sidestep split ends . all your trimming off is divided ends , so as long as you dont have split ends you'll be completely large . Im becoming my hair too (: desire this helps !

I let my hair grow for about a year once and as long as you use a good shampoo you should be ok and i didn't blow dry my hair but once in a while so it wouldn't get damaged!!!
