You know those stickers of turtles or stick figures or pairs of shoes placed on rear windows, one for each family member... It seems like every car now has them. Why is that? Is it a church thing? Was it featured on Oprah? Is it an option offered on new cars?

***** NOTE ***** If you haven't seen the stickers I'm talking about, then don't bother responding with a meaningless answer like 'never heard of it' or 'wtf'. Save all of us a little time. Thanks.
Also, if you're just guessing about what they mean (I'm looking at you, Darlene) then save it, because they are NOT fish, Christian or otherwise.

I totally know what you are talking about, its so funny. I am waiting for a sitcom to make fun of it. I tink it is a new fad, and they sell these little turtle, hand and foot print stickers at local fairs representing the family's, in some cases they even include their pets. Its another way for people to show their love for their family unit I suppose. When I have children, there is no way in hell I would get those stickers. I think its ridiculous.

I think it is cute. It comes from proud parents!!! I only have stickers on my car about my children making honor roll, i dont have any of mom and dad . The ones your talking about are fish i believe and they represent a christian family which is not silly in any way shape or form for those of you who dont know what it stands for you really shouldnt pass judgement on people who are proud to put things on their car about their children or the fact that they are a christian family. I do agree with the sex predator thing but as a proud parent that is something that you dont think about when your child brings you home an honor roll certificate for you to display.....In these cases, We as parents, just need to be more protective of our children and know their whereabouts at all times !Especially when they are younger! Are we always supposed to be afraid of what a sex predator is going to do and NEVER allow people to know what proud parents we are. SEX PREDATORS FOLLOW CARS WITHOUT STICKERS ALSO , COME ON PEOPLE!!!! All they need to do is SEE a child in the car, sticker or no sticker and they may follow your car!!! Ok since you said they were turtles or something i assumed you did not know what they were THAT is why i responded by talking about the ones that are the Fish and they DO stand for a christian family!! They have big ones for mom and dad and small ones for children. I feel that if you can call me out on it by saying Im looking at you darlene then i have a right to respond to you as to why i answered the question the way I did....This is a question and answer right.????? Maybe one day you will have children if you do not alredy and you too will understand why some parents are proud of their children. I am sorry if I offended you in any way I was simply answering the question that i thought you were asking because you did ask is it a church thing or something.....And the particular ones i was talking about ARE church ones..............

I think it's just a 'cute' thing to do. I personally think it's SCARY! If a predator follows you home, he'll know the name of your children as well as their approximate ages, how many people live in the house, and even if you have a pet! I don't think it's a safe thing to do at all. People need to think about safety over all. It's a frightening concept.

Anything super crappy that is introduced into pop culture is almost sure to be from Oprah. Talk about a cult. You would think those ultra wealthy educated housewives that go to see the show would know better.

Parents are proud to be parents and want to show it off. It's just a fad, like fuzzy dice from the 70's/80's. This too shall pass.

in case you imagine prohibition of drugs advantages american society.. then clarify to me the best that got here of prohibition of booze.. that is an same component.. the warfare on drugs.. the drug guidelines do far far more effective damage to american society than the drugs themselves ever might want to. and what adults do has little effect on what young children might want to do.. do you not have sex because some youngster might want to wish to ahve sex? do you smoke.. do you drink.. do you pressure a automobile? what young children do .. and what adults do are 2 quite some issues. as they must be.. drugs might want to not be a legality difficulty yet an ethical one.. the drug warfare is one i guarentee we can lose and proceed to lose as long as we foolishly strive against it.. no i dont use drugs.. yet i'm drained of determining to purchase it. and that i balk on the negative fee in wasted lives that result from the warfare on drugs.. not the drugs themselves.. in spite of the indisputable fact that the warfare.. so that you bumper decal would in basic terms make you seem to be an ignorant moron IMHO .. so i does not placed that there.

I've never seen it, but like the idea of it as a way to identify family members who might possibly be missing in an emergency.
