To which social group do they belong? Among us common folk, 50K is pretty outlandish, but for the daughter of a Hollywood producer... Whether the amount is excessive will depend upon the relative social and economic circles in which the family moves.

There are also people who spend that and more on 'sweet 16' parties. Common, no, does it happen, regretfully yes.

thats just stupid...most people don't even spend that mugh on a wedding....i think $1,000 to 5,000 is more average
