Thkere is nothing wrong with white, black or, yellow. People individually are what they are. If you are decent, law abiding,
color is not relevant ignore them. And if they insist on disturbing you contact the naacp or other advocacy group and consider legagl action. No noe has the right to harras, intimidate, denigrate nor threaten you. If your school will not consider suing them. Courts are beginning to fine school boards who do not take action.
Those people do not define you. You define yourself.
There are no practical nor safe ways ways to lighten skin
Hold your head high. You are miles better a person, than the bigots that denigrate you.

Honey, you are who you are!! I'm white and sometimes I pull out the gangsta speech everyonce in awhile, and people laugh at me. You're right, you can't change the way you were raised. Unfotunately, some people will always be pigs. You can't change them. And never wish your skin color to be different...look at what happened to Michael Jackson!
If your friends are making fun of you because you don't talk the way you think you should, you might need to reconsider who your friends are. I know a lot of people who are black but talk white. There's the adorable girl in my class. She's Jamaican and very black. She's really shy and doesn't talk much, but when she does talk, so talks more white than we do!!
Please don't trouble yourself with this. How you talk compared to how you look means nothing. I mean, think of the white people who moved to China and had kids. Would people make fun of a white chinese person?
It's normal to talk the way everyone else does that you live around.

This may or may not be true, but it sounds reasonable. I think at one time the skin color of blacks was either black or dark brown. However, there has been a lot of racially-mixed marriages, and that's the reason for so much variation in skin color.
I would never be mean, dear. But I would suggest that you just be happy with who you are, and don't make such a big deal about your skin color or the way you talk. The vernacular of most black people is called, "Ebonics", and is considered an acceptable form of speech. However, blacks who are in professions such as the media, government, or other high-end occupations have eliminated Ebonics from their speech to appear more credible and better educated to the general public.
I hate to say this, and please don't be offended, but I think what Michael Jackson did to alter his appearance is downright freaky. Don't wish for lighter skin. Be happy that you have a "suntan" all year round without exposing your skin to the sun's damage. We white girls have to rely on self-tanners to be darker. Just be happy being you! That's the best advice I can give.

first you don't talk white. There are many white people out there that talk very poorly. Sounds like you speak more educated than your friends. Skin tones have nothing to do with who you are. Speaking correct English is good. You will fare much better at job interviews than your friends will. Don't try to lighten your skin. Be yourself. Dress nicely and speak nicely and you will go far. The only thing you could do to lighten your skin is stay out of the sun. Your parents raised you very well. I'm sure they are proud of you.

I think you should be proud of the skin color you are and i think that you should be proud hat you don't speak "ghetto". I'm not sure how to say this without being offensive so I'll just say it. When people talk "ghetto" they simply don't even sound intelligent, it's bad english, and hard to understand. So just be happy with the way you are :)

Sweetie, be yourself. Your skin is beautiful and highly wanted- many Caucasians have to work so hard to get the skin tone that we naturally have- so, accept and appreciate, God made you the way you are for a reason, and God is NEVER wrong. Don't take God's hard work for granted. You're beautiful.

Do nothing. Accept yourself as you are. Black is beautiful in all shades! You need to have self love and acceptance. I do as a black woman and I try very hard to instill this in my daughter. The way you speak does not change your blackness and just because you are black it does not mean that you have to speak a certain way. I am not ghetto, but I do not consider myself "acting white" because I have an education and speak intelligently.

Don't pay any attention to your friends who put you down. Be proud of who you are always. They are just messing with you and trying to get you to change, and if you change to suit them -THEY WIN!! This isn't a contest; it's your life! If you hold your head up high and don't let them get to you, you will show them that you are in control of you -NOT THEM!

Ignore what everyone else says, and do your own thing. Don't let people's comments get you down or affect who you are as a person. Be proud of the way you are, and don't hold back!
