Don't know about 3 yr old, but I have a 2yr old and well depends where you are and what's to hand.
At home I've half peeled a banana and then put some breakfast cereal in a bowl and shown him how to dip the banana in the cereal he thinks it's great fun.
Others chopped snack box of any fruit (fresh or dried) salad, nuts, olives, cold vegatables - what evers to hand.
When I've been out near a shop I've brought bags of grapes, which he's ploughed through - loves pilling them off the stalk.
Have brought those variety dip platters, and a packet of doritos or something - he loves doing the 'dip dip' in the sauces. Don't know how healthy that one qulifies as.
Have also brought a pot of greek yogurt and the good old banana again, and yes you've got it he dipped the banana in the yogurt as I didn't have a spoon. I hope this helps and I've been on the right track.

Fruit is the best snack for them, I have a 3 year old and she loves grapes, apples and bananas, you also can add some peanut butter to the apple or the banana she'll love it.

my two and five year old are the fussiest eaters ever, but my 5 year old also cannot have any colourings, flavourings... the thing i find with both of them for a quick and healthy snack is in a bowl, spoonful of soft cheese, handful of raisins and carrot sticks! they love it. mixing it together and scooping it out with the carrots! also try looking on organix.com. they have brilliant menu plans on there!!!

I have found in the past with my own children & my foster children, eggie bread works well with a homemade tomatoe sauce, its filling & nice to eat but healthy enough for Mum not to worry about giving it to their little one...children need dairy products to grow healthily & you could follow that up with a nice piece of fruit
