How do these influence your opinion towards birthday parties?

There are only two.

The first was in Genesis 40:20-23. At this one Pharoah hung his cheif baker.

The other was in Matthew 14:6-12, at which Herod had John the Baptist beheaded at the request of his daughter (at the urging of her mother.)

Since the Bible was written for our instruction, I do not celebrate birthdays because the only two recorded report them in association with bad events, and they were only celebrated by those who did not worship Jehovah.

Suzanne, that is a wonderful verse, But it is referencing days and seasons in the Jewish law. Not pagan festivals.

That scripture is 2 Cor 6:14 Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? 15 Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be´li·al? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I shall reside among them and walk among [them], and I shall be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “‘Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’” 18 “‘And I shall be a father to YOU, and YOU will be sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah the Almighty.”

Also you will notice that the first few verses of Rom. 14 deal with those weak in the faith.

Birthdays are pagan in origin, and glorify man not God.

Eccl 7:1 A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born.

As "Abdijah" explains, there are only 2. He describes the traditional JW position, which condemns "Christendom" for observing birthdays and other holidays. I believe this matter is answered by Paul's admonition to the Romans:

Romans 14: Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord;[a] and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.

The fact is, the Bible doesn't mention alot of things. I believe there's no reason to interpret this as a prohibition against them. If, for example, JW's want to do this as a way of honoring God, that's acceptable. However, no one should speak badly about a Christian who does observe birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

Peace.

Luke 2: 14 even as shepherds regarded up from tending their flocks to confirm a bunch of angels making a music, “Glory to God contained in the optimal, and in the international peace and good will in route of men” (Luke 2:14). obviously, it really is the first christmas carol, making a music party for the birthday of Jesus. We, catholics loves this miracle; we do it considering that time immemorial, a lengthy time period to a lengthy time period, era to era.

What are you getting at? If you are a Jehovah Witness--there is very little of your religion in the Bible.
