you dodn't say what material the fountation is maded of first your need to know that

however concrete a basic concrete bears something like 3000 lbs per sq. inch >

Soil bearing requires testing. Around here 900 to 1000 lbs per square foot. Need to have soil testing done if you're getting ready to build.
