It's great that people are making a commitment to themselves, but making a commitment not to commit to someone else seems to be pushing the envelope a little too far. I'm single, I love it, but I know that eventually I want to be with someone. The commitment ceremony sounds like something that my friends and I do when someone is getting over something or actually finding out something exciting about themselves that they didn't know before, like "I'm a strong and beautiful woman who has a lot to offer. I didn't need a man to tell me that, I can't let a man (or woman) make me feel less than that." This usually doesn't envolve a ceremony but a dinner and fun time with friends.

So way to go single people for being comfortable and happy with yourself. But relationships are a challenge and a risk that are sometimes essential in taking if only to discover more about yourself.

that was long. :D
