it says that it doesn't support those files...do u another video software editng that I can download... the camara works with quicktime but it wont work it movie maker..it's so weird

Quicktime is not supported by Windows Movie Maker (Apple vs. Microsoft). If Windows Movie Maker is your only video editor, then you need to convert your files first. Here's a helpful guide for video conversions.

You don't have the right codecs.
Quick time has it's own set of codecs.
'Codecs' stands for coding and decoding.
My suggestion is to install newer codecs from microsoft for your video camera, sometimes the company has downloadable codecs for this purpose. Either contact the maker of you video cam or check out microsofts website for the codecs.
If this DOES NOT help, the go to www.drivers.com Sign in and you can browse to see if anyone has uploaded the codec you need.
Also Google or yahoo for codecs for your video cam type. You may get lucky and find a person who has had this trouble before and uploaded their copy of the codecs.
If you can get your hands on a legal (i'm not supposed to suggest illegal ones!) copy of premiere or after effects by Adobe, you will have less problems. To top it off they are better peograms for video editing than window movie maker, and come will a b_load of codecs! There is some trial copies of these programs available at Adobe.com. They however have only 30 days you can use them.

Do yourself a big favour and go out and buy a copy of Pinnacle Studio - $100. You won't have to go through all the nausea and you'll have a much better and easier to use video editor.
Free stuff is - well ....
