It's not against the law to GO OUT with someone of any age. It's only against the law to have sex under a certain age. (18 in some US states, 16 in the UK).

Only if you're caught doing something you shouldn't be doing with that young un....!!!! Bad? Depends upon a lot of things that will develop over who knows how long....!!! I have a friend who actually married the guy she was dating at the time she 15 he 19......she married him when she was 16....let's see, hate to actually give away my age admitting that I was in their wedding on the 29th of December and on that date this year they'll have their 34th wedding anniversary! Not to say they haven't had their problems but it was very long ago....she WAS too young & hadn't dated anyone else at all so found herself sort-of with the urge to do so after they'd been married a bit...probably that what do they call it? Forget how many years think it's maybe the 7-10 year itch??? Whatever. Anyway, they both dealt with that and through help (therapy) and commitment obviously made it for many more years and it's never happened again, by either of them!
So...as I said....depends!!! Not necessarily BAD.....too soon to tell and as long as you're either NOT having sex and don't plan to, or if you are, of course the FIRST priority is called PROTECTION! Against unwanted pregnancy as well as STD's!!! Condoms, condoms, condoms!!! Oh, and of course the second thing is if you ARE, it's only illegal if you get caught, so naturally if suddenly there's a pregnancy or some STD that needs to be dealt with, then YOU'RE BUSTED! Get it? Got it? Good!

In this society it's frowned upon because the law says that by 18 you're old enough to be held accountable for your actions and responsible enough to make adult decisions, and anyone under the age of 18 is not. That's not all together true but that's how society sees it and if you really love each other then you'll stop seeing each and date people your own age and if you still love each other when she's legal by societies standards then by all means get together. You should be getting ready for college and she should be finishing high school at this point in you guys lives.

It is definitly not bad. I mean when you guys get along with eachtother and she is ok with how you treat her and you wait until shes ready to have sex and if she wants it now, just do it. Seiously this is all just crap to say that as soon as somebody turns 18 and by accident the partner is not, the relationship is illegal.
These kind of laws are set up for pedophelics, means guys over 18 want to have sex with really young girls. But this really shouldnt occur a normal teenage love. I mean what kind of girl would want to go out with a bloke of her age, when shes 15? Guys are just behind in their develpment, and girls become mature alot faster then guys.
Just relax and do what you both feel is the best. And if your feelings are honest and strong and hers are too, then stay together and dont mind other peoples opinion about that.
To make her father feel secure have a chat with him and make sure he understands your honesty concerning the girl.

Well, let's look at it this way. What exactly would an 18-year old have in common with a 15-year old?
When I was 18, I had graduated from High School and was in college. I had my drivers license and my own car. I was able to drink and vote.
A 15-year old is a Sophomore in High School. I just can't see the attraction unless it's physical. Then we resort to the ILLEGAL part of the question!

YES!!! Its bad bad bad, my little sister is dating a 18 year old bloke and i want to rip his head off! He picks her up in his car and it scares the c**p out of me! Why he cant find someone his own age is beyond me, he is taking her innocence away! I caught a text by mistake the other day talking about how great s*x was, i mean come on shes bearly 15 only just turned! Before this bloke she had never even had a boyfriend! Then he spun her the old line of oh im a virgin, yeah right! Course you are, so am i!!
Drives me crazy, if you have any respect for yourself you will not do this!It is illegal and as far as im concerned anybody having sex with a 15 year old should be on the pedo (sex offenders) register!!
Please sort this out and spread the word! Stick to the legal girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When the 15 year old is 18, a 3 year difference isn't that big of a deal. But at 15 the maturity level of each is vastly different and usually (not always) works out poorly.

you could ask the same question about a person that is 21 year old going with an 18 year old and the same people that say it is wrong for a 18 year old to go with a 15 year old will tell you age makes no differance.

Nothin wrong with that and actually look into it I know its against the law but I only think it is if the parents say something because when I was 15 my bf was 19 and the cops pulled us over and I told them he was my bf and they didnt do anything they just called my mom and dad and curfewed me. I think it has to be something really exaderated for them to take legal action like 15 and 21 or older . Dont worry about it.

The fact that it's AGAINST THE LAW doesn't make it bad enough? Yes, dating a 15 year old looks bad and is bad. Where are the 15 year old's parents?
