None! Have yet to hear my friends brag about good mileage, or maintenace or how cheap any of their vans are.

Had 1 friend that had 2 subaru station wagon types over 15 years and was extremely pleased...but I never owned a station wagon or a van...sorry..but have owned cars for 40 years...and I still like toyotas!

Used: Dodge/Ford because they depreciate quickly.

New: Tough call.

Minivans are not necessarily economical. Most come w/ big V6 engines and they are heavy. My friend has the Honda with the 3/6 engine (3 cylinders turn off when the engine is not under load) and he gets pretty good mpg on road trips.

Short wheelbase Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country.

If your talking new, I think the KIA or the Hyundai are the most economical now. Go to www.edmunds.com and you'll see all the models with pricing info.
