Do you think followers of other religions are hell bound because they don't accept Jesus?

"According to the Bible" - doesn't mean anything more than "According to the Koran" or "According to the Torah" or
"According to the Baghavad Gita", etc, etc, etc.

Just because people wrote it in a book doesn't make it true.

For example, the Pope decides who is a Saint. Gimme a break. How can a man decide and choose who is what in heaven? It's not real, it's man made beliefs.

God is beyond the pages of a book.

Of course, use the Bible as the ultimate authority for questions regarding Christianity since all of Christianity is (or at least should) come only from the Bible.

It is clearly stated in the Bible that the only way to heaven is through an acceptance of Jesus as the divine son of God and entrusting your life to His will.

However, it is written in the Bible (OT I think) that not everyone is judged the same when it comes to entrance into Heaven. Depending on your exposure to Chrisitanity and the word of God, you are judged on different levels. For example, a remote tribe in the middle of no where that has had no exposure to the outside world will not be judged as severely as someone who lives next to a Baptist church.

With all of that being said, I would have to say that generally those who do not accept Jesus are not allowed into Heaven, but GENERALLY.

Well, that would depend on whether or not you believe the Bible is really the 'word of God'. If you do, then Christ said "I am the truth and the light, and no-one comes to the Father but through me". Pretty direct eh? As far as going to 'hell' the Bible itself indicates that the word 'hell' does NOT mean eternal burning and such, but rather it is the common grave of all mankind, and the dead will be resurrected at Judgment Day. The Bible uses Fire to symbolize complete destruction, nothing more.

Dear Martin,

You have an incorrect understanding of the Gospel. There is absolutley NO religion that can save a person from eternal hell. The only way for one to escape hell, is to have someone else pay for your sins. You see all of mankind has broken (transgressed) God's laws. The penalty for breaking God's law is eternal damnation or hell. Every person is destined to go there because we have all sinned against God (Jesus Christ). However, God in His great mercy and kindness determined to have some of these rebels with Him in heaven. But He could not let them in because His law commanding eternal damnation has to be kept. So the Lord, took on a human body (became a man), and endured the equivalent of eternal damnation for those whom He chose to redeem (save). He did not pay the penalty for everyone, just His elect.
There is no way that one can "accept" Jesus to be their Savior. Incidently, this is a false gospel that is so prevalent today in the world. If you read Matthew 7:21-23 that will explain the terrible future for those who have followed this "false gospel". The truth is that God has chosen those whom He determined to redeem from before the foundation of the world. God knows exactly those whom will be saved but we do not. God also tells us that He is no respector of persons, so that all of stand on level ground. If God is going to save you, it will happen in the environment of hearing the word of God. "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God."

No. I personally believe that God will judge us not only on our religion (do we follow our religion or poof-pooh it) and what is in our hearts. Have we done good deeds, treated others fairly and cared for the least of His people? Or were we selfish and cared only for our own materialistic wealth? I firmly believe that Ghandi is in heaven, and he was not of the Christian faith but showed through his actions what we all should be like.

No, but if they have been exposed to the word of GOD, yes, because JEsus is the Way, the Light and the Truth, no one will come to the Father unless it's through ME!!!!!!

Jesus is the only way into Heaven, so if one does not accept Him or beleive in Him, according to the Bible they are hell-bound.

You are absolutely wrong and misleading, look into other holy books and find the truth yourself. How could a prophet promise you heaven and hell because it is not his power to do so. His mission is to deliver revelations to the followers. How come other prophets don't deserve the same glory. ARE YOU BLIND?

Jesus said... “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. As Christians, we aren't allowed to speculate on God's wishes. However, I don't see why God would give Ishmael a great nation and all the things he gave to Isaac, if Ishmael wasn't entitled to go to Heaven too.
