What do you think of brane or M theory and multi-demensional space? How does it fit your religious beliefs?

True! I specially think that as we have approached the many theories of string theory.... the laws do not seem to hold on higher dimensions.... But they open the possiblity of other dimensions which is an interesting thought from the religious point of view. When I was oing QUantum Phisics some time ago, this was a very chagellenging notion!

The cool part about the combination of string theories that make up the mysterious M Theory is that it can fit into many religious theories as well as a supplement. It explains things like paranormal activity, deja vu, "aliens", angels, demons, ghosts, afterlifes and so many others. I think it could the the theory that ends up explaining away the need for people to believe in a deity, and eventually come to the conclusion that we aren't as unique in this universe as we though we were. Me personally, I believe it could be the cohesive explanation that will help everyone understand our origins and maybe bring about an "enlightenment" if you will. Very interesting stuff. Can't wait till someone figures it out :P

I don't have religious beliefs. As for the current theories that are off shoots of "string theory" I think they are going down the wrong path.
It has become much to complicated and there are too many special cases to deal with.
Eventually cosmologist and physics will find a GUT, but I think its a ways off.

I am gonna answer this for you, a muslim.
I do not know the exact words but...
Imam Al-Sadiq said in a hadith: We created Adams other than yours
It sounds better in Arabic.
And in the Quran.
You will reach space only with your brain
And if God Created the Jinn, angles, and rooh (They are vaguelly metion only once in the Quran with the verse relating to the night of fate of ramadan.)
And if all these beings are among us but we cannot see them, maybe there are more?
And God said in the Quran that there are alot that he did not tell us because we cannot comphrehend or dont need to know.
And lets not forget, if God is capable of doing anything, then anything is possible.
I belive in Aliens

And there, neatly encapsulated in one innocent question, lies the problem. The truth of a theory is independent of our beliefs concerning religion, or anything else for that matter.

I think these theories are very interesting and an excellent alternative to 'believing' in a bunch of nonsense.
