Sports that make you run a lot and increase your heart rate for more than 30 minutes will help you lose weight all over. Aerobics too - you don't need to join a class or anything. Just put on the music and do the exercises at home.

A specific exercise for the gluts (butt) is squats. Lots of squats. Start with how many you are able to comfortably do, then increase the amount bit by bit (like do two more each time you exercise). You can do the exercise several times a day if you want to do a lot of exercise without burning yourself out.

Exercise will not make your " bottom" smaller, but diet will. To firm up your butt, tush, gluts, boody, you can do a simple exercise even while standing in a line. You simply pretend that you are trying to pinch a quarter between you butt cheeks. It is easy, effective & can be done anywhere without others knowing you are doing it. It makes for a great shape " bottom". Anytime you work a mucsle, you are making the fibers bigger. This is why men that lift weights are reffered to as " blulked up". If you want a great shaped bottom, exercise. If you want a smaller bottom.... do aerobic exersice to increase your metabolism & diet also. Good luck to you!!!!

hi there

well there are a number of butt exercise you can do... but these will tone the butt e.g lift it ,shape it.

Kneeling hip extention

1)on your hands and knees
raise your left heel behind you up past your butt
while doing this squeeze the muscle within your (glutes)butt
start with 10 repetitions do the other side before you know it
100 reps will be your minimum in time of course

2) squats

standing with feet.. shoulder width apart , stomach in
back straight... slowly lower your body into a squat position
keeping the butt behind your heels, you don't want knee
strain,
going as low as you can while squeezing your glutes
raising back to the start do 10 reps of 2 set= 20
REMEMBER TO SQUEEZE THE BUTT MUSCLES
when you have mastered these try holding some dumbbells
or you could just have a child on your back its cheaper

3) Standing leg raise
stand up straight and support your body against a sturdy
surface ...... push your hips forward slightly this is
important... placing your chosen leg raised slightly behind
you pulse the knee back and forth slowly squeezing the
butt do 10 reps of 2 sets

these are just a few that you can do..get a book from your library, and i really strongly advise you do your whole body
not just your butt

And dont be afraid of doing some cardiovascular work
yes it makes you sweat
yes it makes your heart race
but cardio plus butt exercises = smaller lifted shaped derriere helps to burn the fast twice as fast
try skipping, running, swimming, squats are the king when it comes to butt exercises
good luck to you

I cycle in my living room.

I got a free cycle stand from a yard sale for like $10 bucks...and i set my bike I already had up on it.

I bike while I am watching tv, on the phone, playing xbox..and I actually forget that I am working out..next thing I know 30 minutes go by and I just worked out.

I lost 35 pounds by biking.
