Pat Pong market at night is amazing, the best deals and shopping I have found. As for the rest, the floating market is nice but it is a long trip, I would do some research and find out what interests you. The zoos and animal shows are my favorite though. I would recommend them.

If you are married then, a few of the temples like the Gold Dome and the Grand Palace. MBK Center or Mah Boon Khrom center, Siam Centers across the street and maybe Central World Plaza for souvenirs. There is the Night Market at Lumpini Park. Food wise there is a Seafood Market on Sukhumvit Soi 24 about a block from Sukhumvit Road, very casual and a little pricey for Bangkok standards, You pick what you want and then have it cooked the way you like it. If you like music, there are many live jazz acts in the hotel bars.

Check out www.bangkok.com for other ideas.

If you are single and want some adventure. During the day, there are the beer bars that open around 11 am. Read about them at www.bangkoktonight.com plus there is a list of the different bars, gogo bars or exotic bars, massage parlors, etc. You could do some shopping, I would suggest at MBK center on the 3rd floor and up. There are various stalls for souvenir shopping. At night, there are the go-go bars, massage parlors which actually open around noon, and discos. I personally prefer the massage parlors, no hassle in the hotel, and all the mess it at the parlor. You get to pick in a well lit room, etc.

Go to www.bangkokbargirls.info for further info there. The go-go bars are rated and reviewed by recent tourists.

There are no ratings for the massage parlors. The women change alot. I think the best may be at Caesars Entertainment, no relations to Caesars Palace. All price ranges and some of the prettiest women. Cost is around USD 75 for a couple hours. You can get a soapy massage and I think a Thai massage there. There are two other places across the street from Caesars, Subway and Nataree, a little cheaper USD 50 to 60 and sometimes the women are just as pretty. Nataree has soapy massage and Thai massage and oil massage. Subway has only Oil massage and thai massage. Plus extras!!! They are close to the Huay Khwang station of the subway. So, no need to take a taxi and possibly get ripped off. Or you can take a taxi to Emerald Hotel and then walk to the parlors.

Good luck and have fun

Hi, look through the destinations on www.tourismthailand.org and pick the sights you want to see. When you arrive, go to the nearest travel desk and book the tour destinations you want. The price anywhere is about the same.

Recommendations:
Chao Phraya River Cruise
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Aprime Rose Garden Elephant and Cultural Show
Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple
Siam Underwater World in Siam Paragon Shopping Centre

Shopping:
Chatuchak Weekend Mart if you are there on weekend
Mah BoonKhrong Centre
Pratunam clothing wholesale centre
Suan Lum Night Bazaar

Should be more than enough for your 2 days stay. More if you can stay longer.

Two days just isn't long enough, but if you like shopping and your stay here is over a weekend then it's worth spending even a few hours at Chatuchak (commonly known as JJ) market. Patpong Night Market is good for fakes, but I would also suggest you take a trip on the Chao Phraya River too for another view of Bangkok.

GRAND PALACE & EMERALD BUDDHA TEMPLE

This is the perfect introduction to Thailand, the Buddhist faith, regal splendor and tradition. Though no longer the royal residence, it remains, the symbol of the kingdom. You'll visit the key attractions around the Grand Palace including Wat Phra Kaew Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Royal Pantheon, Coronation Throne Hall, Royal Reception Hall, and Royal Funeral Hall.

Or Museums & Interesting Places
- Vimanmek Mansion
Visit Vimanmek Mansion, the world's largest building made entirely of golden teak. The three story wooden palace has 81 rooms, halls and ante-rooms, and now Thailand's first handicraft museum.

- Jim Thompson's House
Jim Thompson’s Thai House contains connoisseur collections of Asian artifacts and antiques.

Stay at the Nana Hotel opposite Nana Plaza on Sukhumvit Soi 3, and spend all your free time at the G spot on the second floor on the right, and you should be a happy boy, you might even learn a little Thai!!

Two days is not even enough time to see or do anything but--go to the temple by the Palace and then go shopping day and night. It's far to great place to rush. You'll want to go back soon.
