Hi there , yes u can use surgical spirit on ur face , but mind it if u need to use it regularly dilute the same with some water be
3 Parts of Water to 2 parts of Spirit , else you can Boils, rashes and burns on your face in the longer run ,
Another very bad effect on undiluted spirit be that your skin looses the protection from Harmful UV-A and UV-B rays and so more pigmentation and chances of getting skin cancer in the longer run .
So my advice go and get a Good PH balance Face wash and check first whethet your skin is acidic or Alkaline and then Take PH balance Face wash accordingly

Yes you can. The only draw back is that it can dry your skin. On the other hand if you have oil skin, it will reduce the shine by absorbing the oils and also by breaking up the lipid molecules.
However, there are less astringent methods to handle you face! It is not that harsh apart from the sting

I used it as a face wash when I have sore spots, as it soothes the skin. Wash your face first to remove your make up (if you wear it) then fill your sink with water, add some surgical spirit to it and just keep rinsing your face.
It can dry your skin out if used neat, hence you adding it to the water.
