I think the best thing that you can probably do is to talk to her about it. You will never know how she feels about you unless you open your mouth and speak. If you are friends, you probably speak to eachother fairly well anyway, I think if your feelings are strong, or you suspect that hers are- then you should take the plunge.
There is a possibility that she may not feel this way about you, sure- but if you are friends, there is little that understanding and honest communication can't overcome. It could be possible that she likes you a great deal and it would be a shame that both of you miss an opportunity to perhaps have a deeper relationship because both are too scared to speak.
Tell her how you feel, tell her you fear losing her friendship, this in itself is testement as to how much you value her good opinion and friendship.

Very broad question - I guess generally if she looks into your eyes when she's talking to you, laughs at your jokes no matter how stupid they are (try telling her the stupidest jokes you know, see how she reacts), if she starts saying stuff like 'all the guys I'm meeting are idiots, I'd love to meet someone more like you', or if she stops talking about other guys altogether. If she changes the way she touches you - by which I mean, if she generally punches the arm off you or slaps you playfully round the head like a sister would her brother, and then it changes to her touching you gently or ruffling your hair, or if she's never touched you before and suddenly starts touching your arm or your face or whatever, it's probably a sign. Ummm... If she wants to spend more time with you alone, and if she makes a point of talking to you or looking at you when you're in a group of people, it's probably good.

Well yes she would, but not all women are the same, and it depends on the nature of your friendship, she might be obvious or not, your best bet is to outright ask her, because for you to ask this type of question it show that you have interest other than friendship. I mean you have very little to lose and much to gain if she is interested then you can move on from there, but if she's not then it would give her something to think about.

I know you said Girls only, but thats a pretty good line as it is a common sign. Also, whats the flirting like? if their is a little bit of harmless double entendres, then thats also a good sign.

women fear rejection just as much as men. you need to show you like her (like spread a nice rumour how much you like her) and only then will she start displaying signs of liking you. we hit a lot when we like guys, and if you keep touching us we like that too.
