Oh absolutely. Bourdain - Is he the new Leonard Cohen or what? Look and listen next time he comes on, it's kinda spooky! Gordon's got a punk guitar groove going on - can imagine him doing a kickass version of Anarchy in the UK. Rachel Ray - Janis Joplin for the 21st century, torch songstress extraordinaire. Paula Dean on Double Bass maybe, for a rockabilly jam. Drums by Emeril Lagasse, with Jamie Oliver (who actually does play) as standby. Alton Brown as roadie, for his superior physics know-how. Nigella Lawson (Brit chef) on piano and Kate Bush-style vocals.
Hell, I'd pay to see that band!

I gotta agree with you about Anthony Bourdain (now that's one crazy guy). I think Gordon Ramsey would make a better manager. Put the Ace of Cakes guy on the drums. And, no doubt, the band's groupies would be led by Rachael Ray.

I don't know about us chefs being the new rock stars, but we've been conducting the gastronomical orchestra for years. I personally am glad to see that being a chef now has some standing, even if my name isn't commonly known with the "IN" crowd at a 5-star bistro.
We may be the musicians, but it's the food that "sings".

Hehe. There it goes again. No more pots, pans, spatula n all kitchen stuff in the store. All bought up for musical instruments.
Can we get Rachel Ray as the lead singer with her raspy voice? :)

Not all chefs are tempermental. They just pick a lot of them that are for Reality Shows. Mainly because it draws in viewers. (Hell's Kitchen, anyone? lol)
I love Mario Batali. He seems tohave a real passion for his food. And it just cracks me up that he cooks in shorts :P

Chef's what? The lead's what?
Do you mean "chefs?" They are far too tempermental to work well with others in a band.
Please learn the difference between a possessive and a plural for your next question.
