Hey I'm almost 19 and I know exactly what you are talking about. I don't have black heads, but I have lotos of other acne. I do have some white heads and yes they are disgusting. There actually are some ways you can pop the whiteheads so that the puss can be released and the whitehead can heal properly. You might want to look into that. However I would highly discourage you from picking any of your acne. I have spent many years carrying on a bad habit of picking at my acne and I have a few scars from that. You don't want scars. I know it's hard, but try to break the habit. As far as treating the acne, let me tell you...tea tree oil is the best ever. Just to give you an example of how well it works, I have been using it all over my acne for the last couple pf days and my acne (which has seemed impossible to deal with) is actually clearing up. I also had this really big, nasty red zit on the side of my forehead and after using the tea tree oil it's actually going down. I can't believe it. You can buy tea tree oil at Longs, or any health food store. It's really worth it. Some of my other tips would be: DRINK EIGHT GLASSES OF WATER A DAY!!! And I mean that! Make a habit of it. I have been so bad at doing that, but i'm making a habit of it and i'm seeing changes in my skin. Also watch what you eat. This can make acne better or worse. Stay away from greasy foods. Really watch your diet. I'm taking Vit. A and E pills which are suposed to be really good for the skin and i'm also taking Zinc which is supsosed to detox. Any toxins in your body, are going to come out into your skin, so be careful what you put in your body and make sure your getting rid of things well. You might consider going on a detox program. I'm going to do that pretty soon here. You might want to start taking some pf those pills i listed. They should help your skin. You can get them at any health food store. Also make sure you get lots and lots of fruit and vegatables. Another important thing. Wash your face. Remove any make-up and if at all possible, cut the make-up completely. ( i mean foundation, powder and concealer) When you wash your face, don't rub it but rather just pat it. When your face gets wet from the shower or from cleaning it, do not towel dry it. Just let it air dry. This will protect the acne. I'm going to see a deratologist as soon as possible. You may want to do this as well. A dermatologist will be able to examine your acne, and help you deal with it. You really don't want any scarring, and a dermatologist should be able to help prevent that. However if possible I would try to find someone who does alternative medicine. You really don't want to be using any heavy duty drugs. I hope I have helped...and good luck. You are not alone...many people including myself, are struggling with this never ending battle too.

Hi, this may sound odd, but I heard it works to help remove blackheads: 1/4 c boiling water 1 t Epsom salts(find at drug store) and 3 drops iodine. Let cool. Pat on with a cotton ball. This loosens them so they can be squeezed with a gauze pad.
Good Luck, hope it works!

Well washing your face with soap free cleansers would do good. Try proactive. Worked for me. Also i was told that sharks liver oil helps lighten scars. Nothing to loose so why don't u give it a try. Drink lotsa water and have fruits like water melons. Helps reduce the heat in your body. Good luck.

When I went to school for cosmetology I remember the study on blemishes. The thing that I have seen work for so many of my clients is Mary Kay. If you would like, I have a contact for you.

Scars are perm. but cold cream will help... black head are a result of oil in your skin. WASH with something that removes oil. Let you face have a rest from makeup. This all will help.
