That depends which government of which country.

In some countries, they would have laws to reduce CO2 emissions by mandating a minimum efficiency in cars, or by having a special tax on gas to reduce consumption. In other places, they will provide grants and subsidies for the implementation of alternative source of energy (solar, wind).
Is some other places, government will argue that global warming does not exist and that will be their input: doing nothing about it except denying it.

In america? Nothing global warming is a myth made up by weirdo's who want to see america crumble into dust.

In the rest of the world? we're trying to cut CO2 emmissions from cars and factories, as well as pouring a lot more money into trying to find renewable sources of energy to replace coal and oil.

buying less sweaters.......what would you purpose they do........shut down industry....and even if this were possible.....which its not.....the rest of the countries would continue to operate normally.....maybe we could start a world war to shut down all industry,pollution and other contributing factors to global warming.
