Check out this site for info about how to apply. Make sure you start far in advance and don't buy your ticket until she has the visa. It's never easy for young Korean women to get tourist visas and is supposedly even more tricky after your neighbors in the North decided to join the nuke club or pull off a great advertisement for what will replace fake money and drugs as their export of choice.

Yeah, like avobe person said. as a Korean it is not that difficult to getting US visa. ( I have 10years US tourist visa). If you contact travel agency first and hand all the information over to them, then they will access it for her. it will takes around 1~2 weeks or more. but if you are hurry to get a visa, then agency will recomand you to have interview which is more delicate(in this case you can get a visa in 3~4days). me, I was hurry to intend my friends wedding in the US so I went through the interview.
The biggist concern from American embassy is illegal staying after expire tourist visa. they will ask some questions about her job, family, ( hilarious ) finance...etc etc.
Yeah, having a letter from your family in the US will help I guess.

American embassy don't want to give their visa to everyone that easily. if someon has been rejected once, it will be more getting difficult to getting a visa. this is just another story I know.

Well... Good luck.
I hope everything goes well for you guys.

just check with a travel agency. It's not too difficult for a Korean citizen to get a tourist visa.
If she doesn't have family or enough assets in Korea, then she will have a problem.
in that case, let your family to write an invitation letter for her.
The things to do at interview, is convincing them that she is not going to stay put in state. Bring anything to prove your argument, such as her job, family, or asset, bank statement, that's too valuable for her to loose if she's not coming back.
Once you came to state, you can extend your stay, but, don't plan it ahead of time.
Have a nice trip.
