I don't think so if the bag has been opened. Chicken is susceptible to salmonella more than other meats. Better to be safe than sorry and throw it out, but don't feed it to the dog or cat. It can harm them too. I saw the above answers, there is moisture enough in the air for bacteria to grow. If the bag has never been opened, check the good-to date, and it's still safe to eat.

Yes, in the process of making the Jerky, all of the moisture has been removed, as has the germs in it.

It sure is; jerky is completely cooked meat, and very dry, so it's hard for bacteria to grow. May not taste as good though.
