Fingers are called 'index, middle, ring and pinky' what are toes called? I call only my big toe a big toe and the tiny toe a piggy toe...just curious if toes had names like fingers do.

This little piggy went to market; It the "Shopping Toe".
This little piggy stayed home; It the "Couch Potato Toe".
This little piggy had roast beef; It the "Cooking Toe".
This little piggy had none; It the "Slim and Trim Toe".
This little piggy went wheeee, wheeee, "I can not get over the door step"; It the "Cry Baby Toe".
OK, maybe the last piggy cried all the way home. Either way he a cry baby! Hopes this helps.
The phalanges are the small bones that make up the skeleton of the fingers, thumb and toes. Each finger and smaller toe has three phalanges; the thumb and big toe each have two. The phalange nearest the body of the hand or foot is call the "proximal" phalange; the one at the end of each digit is the "distal" phalange; and, of course, when there are three, the middle one is called the "middle" phalange.
I guess toes not get the recognition they deserve, they just a bunch of "Phalangies", with names like that, no wonder we hide them in shoes.

From what I've ben able to find, toes don't actually have individual names attributed to them. They're simply considered "phalanges". Then again, it seems to be an established and accepted standard to call the large first toe, "The Big Toe", and the smallest toe "The Pinky Toe". Beyond that I haven't found anything else. Then again.....now there is also the "Ring Toe" although those can vary. You can believe I'll keep looking for an answer to your curious and interesting question.
Best of Luck!

Typically, the big toe is named the "Great Toe" and the others are numbered 1-4 (4 being the pinky toe)

I have not heard of them having "names". I am like you. I call them my big toe and pinky toe too.

They're not so much named as they are defined by their particular habits. Each is referred to as a "piggy:"
One piggy went to the market, one stayed home, one had roast beef, one had none, and the final little piggy cried wee wee wee all they way home :)
