I keep getting chatted up by our sweaty foreign sandwich man that comes to my office. Should I stop buying sandwiches from him?

Certainly not....why pass up the opportunity of a FREE egg & cress sandwhich? Just play him and see how many free sandwhiches you can get.

Simple answer: yes, stop buying his sandwiches, then he won't have any reason to stop by your area.
More complicated answer: Have your boss set up a place in the foyer or reception area far from the desk where bubba can dispense sandwiches and everyone has to go to him; that's if you can't do without those sandwiches!
Even more complicated answer: Don't buy the sandwiches, and tell him to leave you alone, and if he won't, you'll report him. And keep in mind that we were all 'foreign' at one time, unless you're a pict (in britain) or a native american...perhaps he's trying to learn the language!

initially I had my BFF of 12 years being my Maid of Honor formerly my 2 sisters. you sound like a really nice person. i used to be one too, until i realized that creepy men will always take advantage of nice girls. and that i didn't have to put up with this.
i found that the only way to remain the customer of weirdos is to be extremely formal and brief. like, when they ask how you are, instead of saying "fine, how are you?" just say "fine thanks." don't make eye contact, say as little as possible while remaining polite. when i started doing this, i got a lot of "oh are you having a bad day?" "no." "usually you talk more?" "oh."
you are the customer. you don't have to be nice, they do. after a few times of doing this, they will get the hint. it is their job to keep cusomers happy, they will realize you don't want to talk. take charge! you don't have to deal with icky men.
this way you can have your sandwich and eat it too!

If you absolutely dread going to get your sandwich from him every day, then definitely stop, he doesn't deserve your business! I hope for your sake there are other options. If, however, you can't live without his sandwiches because they are so fab, then I suppose you have to put up with it - eek! xxx

Yeah, if you want sweaty sarnies go to tesco. Be careful what you say to him, otherwise maybe some of his "love" might dress your sandwich.

Does he make the sandwiches? don't buy them he sounds unhygienic or if you need to don't make any conversation just please and thank you don't make eye contact or pretend you are on your mobile to your husband when go to get a sandwich.
