The colour of the shell, white or brown, makes no difference to the nutrient content of the egg. Free-range eggs often have deeper-coloured yolks than those produced by hens reared in sheds. However, these highly coloured yolks are not significantly more nutritious than the paler ones.

The color difference is due to the specific breed of hen, according to the Egg Nutrition Center. Hens with white feathers and white earlobes will lay white eggs, whereas hens with red feathers and matching-colored earlobes give us brown eggs.

No- there is no difference, other than the breed of hen that lays them . Also NO BLEACH is involved either.

Brown vs. white

"The color of the egg’s shell is a reflection of the breed of hen. Breeds with white feathers and ear lobes, such as White Leghorns, lay white eggs. Those with red feathers or ear lobes lay brown eggs. White eggs are in high demand among most American buyers, but in certain parts of the country, particularly New England, brown shells are preferred. Breeds that lay brown eggs include the Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire, and Plymouth Rock varieties."

No it is just a matter of what type of chicken lays it. However you should always try to buy organic free range chicken eggs, as the battery egg chickens are kept in terrible conditions so much so that they eat they're own poo and pluck their own feathers out. Free range ones are fed healthily and are kept in wide open fields. Coincidentally the free range eggs I buy are usually brown. By the way free range eggs taste better and are better for you too.

For shop offered eggs, there is largely an exceedingly small flavor distinction. in case you consume eggs each and all the time as I do, you are able to tell the version, notwithstanding it quite is totally small. For farm sparkling eggs nevertheless it quite is a large distinction. The farm sparkling brown eggs have a greater suitable flavor - they flavor greater rustic - the term is "earthy"...much greater suitable tasting than the white eggs. additionally the shells are slightly harder than white eggs - you may hit them harder to interrupt them.
