Although there is still no actual cure for this condition, these days there are a number of very very good treatments that control it. Do two things: Go to your favorite search engine, type in Psoriasis, and up will come a ton of good information. Then make a note of any treatments mentioned that would apply to your particular case, depending on how serious it is. Next take that info. with you to your doctor, or make an appointment with a skin specialist directly, where you will get the best possible help. Don't despair. There is help out there, but it won't come to YOU. You have to go to IT.

Every pharmacy or drug store has medication that is sold without a prescription to help treat or cure psoriasis. Ask the Pharmacist for his advise, if that doesn't help see a Doctor. I believe psoriasis can be controlled fairly easily but you may have mild re-occurrences.

By the way your fiance is a jerk for being so shallow. You should have dumped him a long time ago.

What most people don't seem to realize is that psoriasis has an underlying emotional cause. You can treat the symptoms all you want with conventional medicine and it may very well control the problem, but it won't eliminate it.

Look into some natural medicine alternatives. I know someone who was cured of a lifetime of psoriasis through morter medicine. (www.morter.com). If you find a practitioner with DC after his/her name, you can often get your insurance to cover your visits. It has cured me of many health problems that regular doctors couldn't help me with. Good luck to you.
