Cause they think we're fu cking stupid and can't see through it... or they don't know what love is and to them it's just another word that you're supposed to tell someone when you're in a relationship, and to get laid...

It works for them and is an incredible escape clause. It is also a lame attempt at satisfying themselves while making you feel good. Nothing is wasted if both of you get what you want out of the relationship. By the way...sometimes it is genuine and when that happens you will know it is real.

Because guys think that women expect us to say it (even if we don't mean it) and when we don't you get all bent out of shape about not hearing it - and when we are insincere you get all bent out of shape about it.....we can't win either way. Mostly though, we just say it to try to get in your pants....sorry, its true, but I guess you knew that already.
