I bought a cheap ring at one of the little stores at the beach this summer and I wear it everyday. It recently put a green ring around my finger where I have been wearing it. Any tips on how to get rid of this?

I'm trying to figure out what will get this green stain off. Soap and water hasn't done the trick so far.

When all else fails try a pumice rock that should get it off...the only remaining option after that is amputation! lol - good luck.

That happened to my friend. She didn't care though, she still insisted on wearing it. I think she's crazy... You can't get it to stop turning your finger green, and you can't make the green go away "on command." You need to wait for it to fade. It will in time, don't worry. Not too long. Though this may sound odd, you could wrap your finger in a layer of tape before putting the ring on, just in the part that the ring will go on. This will: 1. Help the ring to stay in place 2. Not allow the ring to come in direct contact with your finger Good luck!

Usually, cheap jewelry does that. It happens to me all the time. Just wash your finger well and the green will come off. Take your ring off when you shower or wash dishes or do anything that makes you come in contact with water.

The reason it turned your finger green is the Nickel impurities in the metal. Hunt for nickel free jewelry to avoid having it happen again.

If its just a cheap ring...clean it good then line the inside with clear nail polish.

Good luck!

You should be able to use a manicure brush and soap and just scrub it off - that is what I did for my little girl

Try soap and water and if that doesn't work dilute some bleach with water and start scrubbing.
