bond surrender what does that mean?

In most US jurisdictions, it means the person was originally arrested for something, bonded out (used a bail bondsman to get the bail money), then while out on bail the bondsman decided for whatever reason to revoke the bail bond and return the person to jail. Usually the bail bondsman will only do this if you've already missed your court date, or if you're showing signs that you might skip town. In a regular surrender, the accused party simply reports to jail; in a bond surrender, it's the bail bondsman who takes the accused to jail and the accused may not be a willing participant!

Basically it means Dog the Bounty Hunter had to come track you down and drag you back to jail!

A quick search didn't produce any useful results, and I don't have the will to dig further. Could it be referring to the fact that was someone was arrested for jumping bail? That's all I can figure.....
