No. Most of the problems in the world come from evil people wanting power over others. I don't believe they are doing anyone except themselves a favor. They do not presume to have a right to think for others, but they presume to have the right to take what they will from others. Most conflicts come from a greedy heart.

Of course, but you must realize also, that there has to be some sort of order in a society, particularly now when there are so many many people living on the surface of this rock.
You must remember that religion is truly the opiate of the masses, and is largely responsible for keeping the poor from eating the rich. The proponents of abandoning religion are largely the well educated and well off, and don't see the benefit in holding onto such belief systems. For the most vulnerable, least advantaged in our society, it is what keeps them going from day to day. I cannot, in my heart of hearts, seek to take that away from them.

Yes, but also the blame lays with those who let others do their thinking for them.
To open ones mind, and view a situation from a different perceptive is not an easy thing to do. But there are many different angles to every situation. Some folks simply choose to view the world through one window.

Actually, I believe that most of the problems of this world are caused by people who don't think OF others.

People who think themselves better than anyone else are assuming a great deal. But there are problems that are caused by people who let others think for them, and I'd say those problems are worse.

I think that most of the problems of this world are caused by greed and by people infringing on the basic rights of others.

While a lot of problems are caused by this ehm "phenomenon", I think you can say this tactic is used more by governments, media, hollywood, educational institutes, and yes cults and some religious groups so, if everyone uses the tactic (including the "it's-my-life-don't-tell-me-what-to-do group)... then I guess you can say that the cause of most of our problems is bigger than that.
I vote no.

No, most of the problems arise from the fact that most people will LET others do their thinking for them.

Coupled with the people who think it is their right not to have to think at all. That probably covers most of it.

No. Most problems are caused by people who do NOT think and who take a very dim view of those who DO.
