How can i play a WAV movie on mac?

I tried to play the old a martian christmas for my kids on my new mac pro book but it would not recognize the file. What do i do?

When you say the Mac would not recognize the file, did it give you an error message? Try dropping the file onto iTunes or Quicktime Player. I'm curious when you say "the old martian christmas". What is that? How old? Did you get it from the Internet or from another computer? Test another .wav file. Go to:

and click-hold on one of the file names. Then choose. "Save link as..." Drop the saved file on iTunes. Does it play? If so, maybe the old file is corrupt.
