Actually I read an article that sit-up/crunches doesn't really do much unless you do some cardio and eat the right foods. Even if you were in a coma doing sit-ups all day... you won't get results. I believe situps does give you abdominal muscles, but if you don't do any of cardio & eat nutritious foods, the musles will hide behind the fat and you will not notice anything (unless you somehow turn all the fat into muscle if that's possible, but then you'd probably be too bulky if you want that).
I think it also depends on the lifestyle. How active are you during the day? Walking sounds good... so just keep that up and everything else... it takes a few months to notice the difference.

Actually crunches and sit-ups wont really help you flatten your stomach. They may do the opposite. By doing those excercises you are building the abdominal muscles. "Flattening your tummy" can only be done through fat loss. You can do this most effectively by swimming for 30-45min a day. Running or jogging is also a good option. Cardio is the only way to effectively lose excess body fat. Weight lifting and sit-up type excercises do little calorie burning compared to moderately difficult cardio.
Secondly, cut your calories to around 1000 a day until you hit your desired weight. Then, gradually increase your calories up to the point where you are no longer gaining or losing weight.

Increase your number of crunches to 60 crunches and do them twice a day. Then in a couple of weeks increase them to 80 crunches 2 times a day. Try to increase every 2 weeks.

If you want to lose Stomach fat **fast**try this for 2 weeks:

Take a One-A-Day multivitamin DAILY and Try the 2468 diet which keeps your metabolism in check.

Mon - 200 calories
Tues- 400 calories
Wed- 600 calories
Thurs-800 calories
Fri - 200 calories
Sat - 400 calories
Sun - 600 calories

For dinner drink 1 liter of water within 2 mins time then eat 1 Lipton Cup-A-Soup. Drinking the water quickly will fill you up but it does need to be atleast 1 liter.

Add into that rigorous activity this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout to use as well (although it sounds like you're doing quite well on that front).

Oh yes..you are doing great..but.are you eating the right things? at the right time? getting enough sleep? all this counts. You need to do some aerobics too...any kind..to increase you metabolism...drink green tea it's very good..it not only increases you metabolism, it also helps you break down fat.

YOu might want to increase your crunches to 25 more each day. I used to do 800 crunches a day...it's possible...after i had my baby now i am still only able to do 200...

eat right. 80% of fat loss is done in the kitchen - ie. better food is even more important than working out. ALL workout pros know this.
