I go red at the slightest thing, people only have to say hello and i go a beet red. This is embarassing because sometimes people think i'm lying or something, how can i stop it before it happens?I've tried deep breathing but it doesnt work.

Start by first increasing your confidence. KNOW WHAT you are going to say in a situation you know is going to arise. Use the same line over and over until it becomes comfortable to you...

If someone greets you.

Hey Jack I want you to meet Janet.

YOU: (Smiling) Hello Jack it is wonderful to meet you aquaintaince.

then SHUT UP. Let him make the next move. He will ask a question and you answer it honestly.

HIM: So Janet I hear you are in school. What are you studying?

YOU: I am studying ... so I can go on to become.... I feel ... is where I have been led in life and I am following my course of life. I am sorry but I haven't heard a thing about you....

LET PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THEMSELVES and MAKE SURE YOU LISTEN. It will put you at ease and it will take the pressure off you. You will find that soon your confidence will grow to the point that you are the one that is initiating conversation and putting the other person on the defensive... or better yet achieving a symbiotic chat with each other.

You seem underconfident. build up your confidence by starting drama or doing something where you have to be loud and can express your feelings. if you start drama after a few months your confidence should improve and after a while you shouldnt have this problem once you more confident.
