It's just the pendulum swinging back again.
It will all go the other way again in a few years (if we're all still here)

I know exactly what you mean, people seem to quote religion to justify all sorts of dastardly deeds. GW said he had spoken to God about Iraq ug!! Personally I have little time for religion or the religious. It appears that the reason for religion is to ex cert control over people and raise money. Look at the poverty in the World, and then look at the opulence of the Roman Catholic Church. I went to the Vatican in Rome and was amazed at the riches on display. The Church of England is always pleading poverty, trying to raise money for this or that, they are a very rich institution with vast assets. Look at the Churches in the USA with all the shouting at the Devil, it"s their way of raising more money. Then there are the Muslim Holy Wars [enough said on that] I went to the funeral of a 2 year old boy [son of a friend] who drowned when on holiday, and the Vicar said it was God"s will, and we are here to celebrate the short life of """""" What"s that all about, didn"t help me or the Parents. I think it"s all about control,

Unfortunately, religion seems to allow anyone to interpretate it however they want. 'God spoke to me' is such a worthy defence and impossible to disprove! Realistically though, anyone who has been brainwashed enough by religion to believe that they are hearing voices or messages from on high are probably past help. Yes it's true that religion is now so much in our faces, but it has probably been heightened by the recent Muslim debates. Maybe this has encouraged some to become Christians to rise against the Muslims, but hopefully it has caused even more to realise what a load of claptrap and trouble religion really is.

I think as technoligy moves on people are being exposed to the world as such a fast pace and maybe something trips in their minds and they want to embrace something to identify with it. But i think as science prooves more and more people are turning to religion for something new to belive in. Personally i think no one should stick to just one religion you should choose which bits you agree with and follow those because at the end of the day if you do what you feel is right other than becoming what someone else thinks is right then your heading in the right direction.

At least the crazy Christian preacher doesnt threaten your life and is probably concerned for your soul. Maybe you need to read up on the Bible just in case!

I think that religion and faith are the one thing that the governments have never been able to successfully control. They try to use it or ban it but faith always survives. Well there may be a final battle coming up soon. But in the mean time the western governments with America in the lead are trying now to instill laws that mean they have control over their peoples using fear and new laws that seem to include banning anything to do with free will. FEAR OF FAITH seems to be the new atomic bomb

Guess people is looking for religions again coz they havent find any relief in shopping, but the bad thing is ...that they are picking up religions as if they were picking pants!!!
So one day they belong to one creed and the next, they believe in something else...
Another bad one thing is that some people is using feith as a rethoric weapon, such as ur president, whilst others are using it to make business, such is the case of all those "sects" that sells u any sort of amulets, candles, souvernirs, tours, services...etc. So far islam is the most economic religion at least coz u are not required to buy nothing nor to pay for services...

The signs are definitely for the end of the world as we know it. It is written that women will wear men's clothing, children will deny their parents, everyone will be killing and fighting each other, brother to brother etc. Look out for the 'sun rising in the East' and the ' sound of the trumper blast'.
