There is never a reason to be embarrassed about your prayer. Possibly you can be embarrassed about the situation that you prayed about.
Read the psalms - there are some "outrageous" prayers there. but the psalmist was just pouring his heart out to god and God accepted him as he was. That is the beauty of the psalms: they teach us to express our real feelings to God so that He can deal with them. The feelings might be wrong. It is never wrong to express them to God.

do not know exactly what you mean by embarrassed becuz well do not think I have ever felt that particular feeling but it might be what I call amusement. I prayed for years for patience. After a few years of doing that I went to a christian counselor and told him I had this problem of being truly trued to my limits over and over and after 5 sessions of giving examples the guy said I am convinced there is something super natural happening here. At that point I thought we were going to arrive at the conclusion that I had a daemon on my back. He asked me if I was praying for patience. I said yeah. He asked when did you start, I said this particular time. He said do you not see that these trying situations started shortly after that. Break thew time. I decided i did not want to learn to be patient that bad. What I wanted was an easy blessing or gift. How silly was I???
just to show how silly I can be I suggest no one pray for either wisdom or mercy as well as patience

I turn to God in prayer for just about everything. There is nothing I pray for that I'm embarrassed about.

During one stressful month a few years ago I prayed to God asking him to remove the sting of racism from my life for a week so I could feel what it was like to navigate the streets of this city without being made to feel like I had leprosy.
Unfortunately this prayer was never answered but I'm sure God had his reasons for not answering it.

There's not really anything that embarrasses me to pray about. Maybe I have been about my finances at one time and yes God always pulled me through and in a big way.
Good question, by the way.

I didn't get any tonight. My prayers were not answered.

When you pray about something is not when God finds out about it.So why would you be embarrased, if He already knows?

I really can not answer for the world, but I do not think any Christian would pray for anything embarrassing.

Nothing in prayer embarrasses me.
Prayer is supposed to be a faith building/strengthening experience.

Never ashamed to pray to God.. Our Lord knows our heart and heart desire.
So there is no secret between mankind and God.
